Patient Testimonials
Unsolicited letters from patients of Dr. Richard Davis.
Dear Dr. Davis:
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Words simply cannot capture the sincere gratitude I have for what you have done for me. I am beyond thrilled with your work on my nose. I absolutely love it! Every time I look in the mirror, I am blown away by the masterpiece you created. You are truly an artist and an expert in your field. As someone with limited knowledge in this area, I want to thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into making this incredibly huge decision that much easier. Your passion and dedication to what you do is downright inspiring, and I think I speak for all of your past and future patients when I say you are the BEST! – Thank you so much, M.A.
Dear Rick:
I am not sure how many follow up letters you get from patients after surgery but I definitely wanted to add to that list. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the care (my daughter) received from you. I chose you after great deliberation and tremendous respect that I have for your work. All I can tell you is that you did not disappoint. Her nose looks absolutely beautiful and I could not have asked for anything more from this experience. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her. I am truly impressed and would love any opportunity to come watch you perform rhinoplasty. – Sincerely, N.N. (father and prominent facial plastic surgeon)
Dr. Davis:
I don't know how to begin to thank you... You changed my life for good. I wake up looking forward to every day. I'm more confident when I walk through the hallways of my college. I am able to look people straight in the eye while they're speaking to me. I don't look down at the floor anymore! I've acquired the ability to take on more leadership roles in my classes. I look forward to spending time with my friends during the weekend. I feel (and look) absolutely amazing. My sleeping habits have improved as well. You've even changed the way I view the medical profession. For years I have met with mediocre doctors who lacked compassion and knowledge of the human body. This experience is what initially motivated me to pursue a medical degree. But now that I've seen firsthand how you run your practice and treat your patients, I'm even more determined to make my dreams come true. You've set the bar higher for doctors and medical students. I would give anything to become a doctor as wonderful and as qualified as you. I truly appreciate everything you've done for me. I hope we can continue to keep in touch. – Sincerely, G.F.
Dear Dr. Davis:
Thank you so very, very much for your compassion and
excellent care. I feel blessed that I found you! The extraordinary time
you spent with us and talents that you possess are appreciated more
than you will ever know. – T.C.
Dr. Davis:
It's not often that I'm at a loss for words (as you might remember),
but I don't think anything I could write could fully express my appreciation
for how much you've done for me and how you've helped transform my life.
The last seven years had been unmentionably difficult, and really up
until now, my nose had been a thorn in my side for my entire adult life.
But there isn't a day that goes by now that I'm not thankful for this
new chapter in my life and know who is to thank for the happiness it
has brought me. So, what can you say to someone who's in so many ways
helped give you back your life, and with it, faith in so many other things?
Words fall short. Not only did your perform what to me was a miracle,
but you did so with what seemed like a limitless capacity for kindness
and compassion (not to mention patience!). Thank you for listening, taking
the time to reassure me of everything, and for going above and beyond
– being there, not only as a Dr. but as a friend. Never did I feel like
I was going through this alone, and that means a lot. So from the bottom
of my heart, thank you. – Your friend in NY, L.M.
Dr. Davis:
I want to thank you so much for everything. The surgery has
really changed my life for the better. You're such a great surgeon. From
your work to your personality and just everything overall is wonderful.
I will definitely refer people to you. As a matter of fact, my mom will
be scheduling a consultation with you pretty soon. Hope all is well on
your side of town. Again, thanks for everything. – A.G.
Dear Dr. Davis:
Thank you for letting me breathe again! I'm very pleased
with the (cosmetic) outcome of the surgery! You are truly an amazing
doctor! – C.F.
Dr. Davis:
I can not thank you enough for everything that you
have done for me! You saved my life and brought back the "original" me!
You are the very BEST doctor and man I have ever met. Thank you for making
me beautiful again. I can not thank you enough! I am forever in your
debt. Thank you Dr. Davis! Words can not express how grateful and thankful
I am to have you for my doctor. I love Dr. Davis! – J.V.
Dear Dr. Davis:
I adore you! You have greatly contributed to my happiness.
I will be forever grateful for you. You are a very talented, precise
and caring expert in your field! I've been getting together with a few friends
recently that I haven't seen in the past 2 months. They have been telling
me how wonderful I look, they would even call the day after our plans to
say it again! Since my nose reconstruction and Botox I have felt so much
more feminine. I can't thank you enough. – Fondly, M.S.
To whom it may concern:
I am a 40-year old woman who had a tertiary rhinoplasty performed
by Dr. Davis two years ago. Having already been through two rhinoplasties
with very poor cosmetic and functional results, my case was considered
extremely difficult, and, to repair most of the previous damage and restore
breathing, surgery needed to be performed by one of the top facial reconstructive
specialists in the country.
In an aggressive attempt to avoid any chance of a third disappointment, I arranged consultations with the "top of the top" in the field, and traveled, at great expense, to their various offices in TX, CA, IL, NH, and FL. Through the process, it was determined that I required a rib cartilage graft to rebuild the structure of my nose, however, CAT scans of my chest were revealing that, as a result of my having Addison's Disease, all of my rib cartilage had long turned into bone - which, unlike cartilage, would be very difficult to cut, shape, and attach to the nose.
For this reason, one of the most famous specialists in the world had to turn down my case, and several others had to reluctantly offer the option of using "cadaver cartilage", which carried risks - especially for someone with my disease. In the end, and to my great fortune, I chose Dr. Davis, who not only was the most understanding of all those I consulted with, but was the only one who offered the option of grafting the bony material that my ribs had become - a daunting task for him, but a lifesaver for me. I also listed and described no less than seven individual cosmetic corrections that I was seeking concerning width, profile, symmetry, tip, nostrils, etc., and, to my amazement, he addressed each and every one of these seven issues in stunning detail.
In a 7-hour surgery, Dr. Davis harvested the bone from my chest, hand-sculpted a dorsal graft using an electric drill, re-aligned tip cartilages that had been damaged and warped from previous surgeries, and literally re-built my nose — all while keeping a careful eye on the computer-generated photographs of my personal cosmetic goals. When the packing was removed from my nostrils the next morning, I was able to breathe through my nose for the first time in over ten years, and, the cosmetic result could only be described as miraculous. Eighteen months after surgery, Dr. Davis chose to perform some additional adjustments done in an in-office procedure and was able to improve my cosmetic results even further.
Dr. Davis is one of the most talented rhinoplasty specialists in the United States today. I am convinced that I would not have achieved the level of satisfaction that I did had I chosen any one of the other top experts that I consulted with. He is also one of the most honest individuals I've ever encountered and I just can't say enough about him, or about what he's done to change my life, and those of countless others – some of whom I've communicated with. It would be my pleasure to answer any concerns or questions you may have about the character, professionalism, or talent of this treasure of a surgeon. – Sincerely yours, N.D.
Dear Dr. Davis,
You were right. Everything
is looking pretty good by now. You did a fabulous job! You are a great
surgeon and a caring dedicated physician, which is a rare combination
nowadays. Thank you very much for standing by me and responding to my
e-mails when I panicked over my frozen brow and almost had a nervous
break down as a result. It's good to be back to normal - I am finally
enjoying my great result. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. – Best
wishes, I.B.
Hi Dr. Davis,
Hope all is well. Since I haven't made it
back to Miami like I was hoping (it is 5 degrees here today so I think
about coming down often!) I wanted to send you a new set of pics. My
nose and eyebrows both look amazing .. I couldn't be happier! Thanks
again for doing such a wonderful job. Hope you are healthy. – Cheers,
A.G.
To whom it may concern:
I had seen six other Dr's about my broken nose over
fifteen years. Four of them told me that my nose was beyond their ability
to help and the other two said they were willing to give it a try. Needless
to say I was less than confident as I didn't what to be their experiment
not to mention I couldn't financially afford it anyway. I had all but
given up on getting my nose fixed until I had lunch with a good friend
of mine. He had always been made fun of in school because his nose was
so big. When he sat in front of me I didn't recognize him. I stared in
amazement as he told me how his nose was broken in a basketball game
and how Dr Davis had helped him. I was so impressed with my buddies'
nose knowing what he used to look like I wondered if maybe this Dr Davis
could help me.
As you can imagine I was very skeptical but I finally went to Dr. Davis. He was very consultative and took his time to explain what was wrong and what needed to be done. Frankly I was scared; after all it was my face that I like very much and I had to live with it. Not to mention that I ‘m not a big fan of pain and it all really sounded painful. After our first consultation I had hope that my nose could be fixed but decided to wait and do my research.
After I had done my research I decided to meet with Dr. Davis again and go over it all over again. I had the surgery in December and I couldn't be happier. After only two months I'm all back to normal except that I now have a straight nose and it works. It was a lot more complicated surgery than we thought it would be, but true to Dr Davis reputation he did a great job. Every thing he said would happen has come true. I don't snore anymore; I'm sleeping a lot better. I no longer have to breathe through my mouth. I would encourage anyone that is looking into getting there nose fixed to talk to Dr Davis. He does a great job of educating you in a positive manner as he tells you what you need to hear. When ever I look at my buddy or in the mirror I know I'm glad I did. – M.G.
Dr. D,
I look really good. All thanks to
you! You are truly amazing! I really don't know how you do it ... the
skill it takes to produce such great results and then still be able to
deal with all of us! I know some of the people that come to you can be
really difficult, I've met some of them, LOL!! – D.B.
