Memorial Hospital Miramar

Memorial Hospital Miramar (MHM) is an award-winning 178-bed acute-care hospital located in beautiful suburban Broward County. Completed in 2005, MHM lies nestled amid lush tropical landscaping in an attractive resort-like atmosphere. Equipped with all-private patient rooms, a gourmet cafeteria, and Wi-Fi available waiting rooms; MHM is more than just a beautiful health care facility.

In 2013, Memorial Hospital Miramar received Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence Award in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (HCAHPS), administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)for Inpatient Quality of Care.

Memorial Hospital Miramar was the only Florida hospital, among four others in the country, which was nationally recognized in 2013 for reducing harm, mortality, readmissions and costs, while improving the patient experience and delivering evidence based care. The award, Premier Healthcare Alliance’s QUEST Award for High-Value Healthcare, honors hospitals for achieving top performance in all six of the areas measured in the QUEST collaborative.

In 2014, Memorial Hospital Miramar was recognized among the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. This is the second time that Memorial Hospital Miramar has been recognized among the 100 Top Hospitals for overall organizational performance.

In addition to quality of care, paperless medical records, computer oversight of drug dispensing, and industry-leading protocols for the prevention of medical errors also make patient safety a top priority at MHM. In an effort to optimize patient safety, Memorial Hospital Miramar recently hired LifeWings Partners, LLC to implement Crew Resource Management* (CRM) for its surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR nurses, and OR technicians - a federal government-endorsed safety protocol initially developed for military and commercial aviation. By adapting time-honored safety concepts from the high-reliability field of aviation, CRM has been applied to the operating room, another high-reliability environment, to achieve similar gains in patient safety. With a strong emphasis on quality care and patient safety, Memorial Hospital Miramar also ranks at the top nationally in patient satisfaction, outshining the national average by 25 percent – another confirmation of MHM’s dedication to quality health care.

In addition to state-of-the-art hospital operating facilities, surgical patients enjoy the added security of a board-certified anesthesiology staff – doctors who are skilled at providing safe, comfortable, and effective anesthesia tailored specifically to the cosmetic surgery patient. After surgery, in-patients enjoy the comfort of a private room equipped with cable television, a companion bed, and private restroom/shower facilities. Valet delivery service is also available from the in-house Locatel® pharmacy for discharge prescriptions and sundry items. While some argue that hospital care for cosmetic surgery is unnecessary or unpleasant, at Memorial Hospital Miramar, you don’t have to sacrifice quality or safety for comfort and privacy – you can enjoy the protections of a leading health care facility in the comfort of a resort-like setting.
